Richard Russell Jr. (1897-1971) was a United States Senator from Georgia who had a couple of buildings named after him.  William Griffith Wilson (1895-1971) was Bill W., the founder of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA).  James Cash Penney (1875-1971) was the founder of JC Penney stores in 1902.  Harold Lloyd (1893-1971) was a silent comedy filmmaker.  Philo Taylor Farnsworth (1906–1971) was an American inventor credited with the invention of television in 1927.  Hugo Lafayette Black (1886-1971) was an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1937–1971, over 34 years.  Dean Acheson (1893-1971) was the United States Secretary of State from 1949-1953.  Ralph Bunche (1904-1971) was a 1950 Nobel Prize diplomat.  Thomas E.
